What is condition-based maintenance?

Condition-based maintenance establishes benchmarks you need to keep costs down and equipment running

Condition-Based Maintenance is the direction of maintenance actions based on indications of asset health as determined from non-invasive measurements and tests.  Essentially, performing maintenance based on the condition of a machine. An Example would be pro-actively changing out a bearing due to vibration analysis indicating an outer race defect.
